Comprehensive Support System
Universal School provides counseling and guidance services to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and in their future planning — from Kindergarten through to Grade 12.
Our academic counseling program is tailored to every learner — building skills and confidence in students at all levels, from those who need extra support to those who are ready to reach far beyond grade-level expectations.
Academic counseling at Universal School is not remedial — it is universal. Every student benefits from structured guidance, goal-setting, and a counselor who knows them by name.
We go beyond grades. Our counselors help students understand how they learn, build the habits that sustain success, and develop the confidence to face challenges — inside and outside the classroom. Whether a student is catching up, keeping pace, or leaping ahead — we are with them, always.
Academic counseling is not about fixing students. It is about equipping them — with skills, with confidence, and with the belief that every challenge they face in school is preparing them for something larger.

From the first day of Kindergarten to Graduation, our counselors are here — to listen, to guide, and to help every student build a future they are proud of.
Choosing a pathway is one of the most significant decisions a student makes at Universal School. Our structured, three-phase process ensures every student — and every family — arrives at the right choice with confidence and full information.
From first university exploration in Grade 10 to final application submission and transition preparation in Grade 12 — our counselors walk with every student through every stage of the journey to higher education.
Beyond academics, students face challenges that require a safe, confidential space. Our counselors offer individual sessions for personal concerns and structured group programs for shared experiences.
When a crisis occurs — we respond immediately, without hesitation. And for parents navigating concern or uncertainty, our counselors are always a conversation away.
Immediate support is always available. Any student experiencing a crisis can access a counselor without an appointment — at any time during school hours.
Counseling is not a sign that something is wrong. It is a sign that a student — or a family — is choosing to face something difficult with support rather than alone. That choice, however small it feels, is an act of extraordinary courage.

Whether you are a student choosing a pathway, a parent navigating a difficult season, or a family facing something unexpected — our counselors are here for you.
Our guidance office maintains a comprehensive library of tools, databases, and events to help students research universities, explore careers, prepare for applications, and connect with the world beyond school.
Trust is the foundation of every counseling relationship. Students deserve to know exactly what is private, what is not, and why — before any conversation begins.
Our Commitment: Student counseling conversations are private and are not shared with parents, teachers, or other school staff — except with the student's own permission.
Limited Exceptions Only: Confidentiality exists to protect students — and in rare cases, that protection requires us to act. These exceptions are always disclosed before a session begins.
Always informed first: Students are always told about these limits before any counseling session begins — so they can make fully informed choices about what they share.
When a student's needs exceed what school-based counseling can provide, we connect families with trusted external professionals — and we stay involved to coordinate care every step of the way.
Universal School maintains active relationships with trusted external professionals and clinics across Beirut and Mount Lebanon. When specialized expertise is needed, our counselors make the connection — and continue supporting the student in parallel at school.
Reaching us is easy. Whether you are a student looking for support, a parent wanting to talk, or someone facing an urgent concern — our door is always open.
The guidance office is not a place you go when things go wrong. It is a resource you use all the time — to plan, to prepare, to process, and to grow. Every student at Universal School has a counselor in their corner. Use that.
